Events: Learning Registry UK contributors and JLeRN eventEvent for institutions interested in contributing metadata/ paradata/ resources to the Learning Registry - will be briefing and discussions or hackday and codebash.
this event is for developers contributing (or intending to contribute) data to the learning registry or hoping to build services based on the data it provides access to. I've had some email contact with most of the folk who I'm anticipating will attend so if you want to get involved and we've not previously talked about it email me as well as (or before) registering so we can get you up to speed.
the meeting will start at 11:00 but the room will be available from [ 10 ] to let anyone who can get there earlier get set up, say hi, and test their machines. We'll have a few presentations and corporate discussion 11-12 to provide a brief overview of recent progress and the JLeRN node. . We'll keep the formal aspect of the meeting brief as the time is really for you to ask questions, test and investigate the technology and any trial data/ tools that you may have. After lunch will be fairly informal with discussions, demos, and testing (we will finish 3:30-4:30).
we will assume that you have some idea of what the learning registry is - for a refresher or to find out more please see: http://www.learningregistry.org/documents.
